Welcome to Talk Business UK a networking organisation, with a difference, established in 2010. Our ethos is to showcase you and your business potential through varied networking events spanning various sectors, including: Talk Hospitality,Talk Manufacturing, Talk Business Women, Talk Charity, Talk Marketing and Talk Property. There is also the NEW Talk Business Cafe! We develop NEW groups all the time, so keep checking back to see what is bubbling!

With an array of tailored networking opportunities ranging from early morning breakfast meet-ups to after-work relaxed gatherings, our events accommodate diverse business needs. Emphasising both the art of casual networking and the essence of serious business dealings, we cater to a wide spectrum of enterprises, from charities to large corporations and start-ups to sole traders.

Our greatest delight is seeing our members TALKING to each other at our events!

who are Talk Business?..

Jonathan Smith Founder of Talk Business UK


Talk Business UK began its journey in 2010 as the Stratford Business Forum, founded by husband-and-wife team Jonathan and Cathy Smith. With South African born Jonathan’s passion for connecting people and witnessing the ‘business magic’ unfold at networking events, the Forum quickly became a hub for businesses and charities in the Stratford-upon-Avon region, winning the West Midlands Business Award for Best Networking Group.​​

Over time, the Forum expanded to include networking events in Leamington, Cheltenham, and Gloucester, fostering a growing community of professionals and organisations. After 10 successful years, we decided it was time for a fresh approach. With a vibrant new logo, updated branding, and a renewed focus, Talk Business UK was born, bringing a modern, dynamic energy to our networking groups while maintaining our original ethos of making lasting connections.

Our aim with Talk Business UK is to encourage members to move beyond regional boundaries and engage with businesses across the entire area. That’s why we dropped the regional group names and created a community of businesses.

​

We still remain committed to supporting local charities, as we have for the past 15 years, through initiatives like Talk Charity events. We’re also continuing with our highly popular Talk Property gatherings, creating opportunities for professionals in the property sector to connect.

​

In March 2022, we launched Talk Business UNO, a simple single-seat networking format where members meet twice a month, creating deeper business relationships and referrals. With just one simple rule—show up—UNO emphasises that successful networking requires time, effort, and a commitment to building lasting connections.

As a member of Talk Business UK, you’ll enjoy unlimited access to most of our networking events across the region - (Some meetings are exclusive to specific industries and closely affiliated services, meaning you’ll need to be part of that profession to attend, for example, Property, Women in Business, or Manufacturing and Charity etc. These focused groups allow for a more tailored discussion and meaningful connections within these industry events).

We hold OPEN TO ALL member networking at our Talk Business Cafe and the monthly Let's Talk Business BIG Breakfasts.

Importantly it is the BUSINESS who are members and anyone from that business can attend the events.

When refreshments are provided at an event there is a cost which we simply pass onto attendees to ensure we support the venues we partner with, aligning with our ethos of giving back to the communities we use.


For those seeking an even more affordable option, our Talk Business Café offers a casual and budget-friendly networking experience. Simply buy a cup of coffee (or skip it if you prefer to save), and enjoy meaningful connections in a relaxed setting. These are FREE to attend but require you to be a member of Talk Business.

We understand the importance of experiencing an event before committing, which is why we offer a ‘try-before-you-buy’ option. This allows you to get a feel for our format and see if it’s the right fit for you. To ensure fairness to our valued paying members, we limit this to just two attended events.

what does membership cost?

  • Membership fee: £375 (+VAT) (+meeting fee per event to cover venue and catering costs). 

​

  • There is also an option to spread the cost of your annual membership and pay monthly £35 (+VAT).

UNO Networking

what does UNO cost?...

  • ​UNO membership secures an EXCLUSIVE 'Seat' in your chosen UNO group. £375 (+ VAT).
     

  • If you already have a TALK BUSINESS Membership you can add ONE UNO seat to it for £100 (+VAT) to cover registration fee and additional listing on the UNO Networking website..
